THE FIRST ONE IS THE ISLAND WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY AND THOSE DISCHARGES TOOK PLACE ON OCTOBER 4TH AND OCTOBER 5TH. AFTER WE'RE FINISHED WITH THAT I WILL GO THROUGH THE ELECTRIC SERVICE DISCONNECTIONS. THIS ONE VERY QUICK SLIDE ON BACKGROUND INFORMATION THE PERMITTED CAPACITY OF THE WRF IS 10 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY AIRPORT OUR TYPICAL FLOWS ARE ABOUT 4.5 MILLION GALLONS PER DAY AND ALL THE TREATED AFFLUENT IS SENT TO A DEEP INJECTION WELL WITH MAXIMUM FLOW RATE OF 16 MILLION GALLONS A DAY. THAT'S WHAT THE PUMPS CAN HANDLE. ON OCTOBER 4TH, AND OCTOBER 5TH IS WHEN WE HAD THE DISCHARGES INTO THE RIVER ON OCTOBER 4TH WE LOST ABOUT 500,000 GALLONS AND OCTOBER 5TH, WE LOST ABOUT 170,000 GALLONS. YOU CAN SEE WHAT KIND OF FLOWS WE HAD DURING THAT TIME. THIS IS A REAL INTERESTING CHART, AT LEAST AN ENGINEER WOULD THINK IT'S AN INTERESTING CHART. IT SHOWS THE RAIN VERSUS THE FLOWS. WHAT YOU CAN SEE IS YOU KNOW EVERYBODY KNOWS WE HAD AN AWFUL LOT OF RAIN DURING THAT WEEK. IT WASN'T NECESSARILY JUST THE INITIAL RAIN WE HAD ON SEPTEMBER 30TH IT WAS THE CONTINUED RAIN THAT WE HAD THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. YOU CAN SEE AS THE RAIN TOTALS GOT A LITTLE BIT LESS THAT THE GROUND WAS SO SATURATED THAT IT DROVE UP THE AMOUNT OF EFLUENT DEGREE RELEASED. WE SPIKED AT 19.2 MILLION GALLONS A DAY AT 20. TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA HOW SATURATED THE GROUND STILL IS WE'RE STILL UP AROUND [00:15:04] NINE MILLION GALLONS A DAY. THE GROUND IS REALLY SATURATED. YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW HOW STORM WATER ENTERS OUR SEWER SYSTEM. WE HAVE A LOT OF CLAY PIPE AND SOME OF THAT PIPE IS OLD. AS A MATTER OF FACT, MOST OF IT IS OLD. THERE'S CRACKS IN IT AND A LOT OF WATER GETS IN THROUGH THAT FAILED CONFLICT STRUCTURES, DAMAGE CLEANOUTS. THERE'S A LIST OF ITEMS. BUT WE STILL GET A LOT OF STORM WATER THAT GETS INTO THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM. AND THE GOOD NEWS IS HERE WE'VE GOT A D.E.O. GRANT THAT'S OUT THERE THAT WE SUBMITTED FOR ABOUT 8.3 MILLION. WE THINK WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT CHANCE OF GETTING AWARDED THAT GRANT. THAT'S GOING TO BE A GRANT THAT'S GOING TO LINE WASTE WATER LINES IN THE CITY. THAT WOULD BE A GREAT THING FOR US. I WANTED TO JUST TALK FOR ONE MINUTE ABOUT THE WHAT HAPPENED IN 2017, WHICH WAS HURRICANE IRMA. IN THAT CASE WE DISCHARGED ABOUT 10 MILLION GALLONS AND THAT WAS CAUSED BY A LOSS OF POWER. IN OTHER WORDS, WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY POWER TO THE DEEP INJECTION WELL PUMPS AND BECAUSE WE LOST BECAUSE THE -- SO BASED ON THAT WE DISCHARGED 10 MILLION GALLONS. AS A RESULT, THE D.E.P. SENT US A CONSENT ORDER. WHAT WE DID THERE WAS WE ADDED TWO NEW TRANSFORMERS SO WE HAVE TWO SEPARATE ELECTRIC FEEDS, ONE FROM CAUSEWAY ONE FROM THE KING PLANT AND WE ALSO HAVE A TWO MEGA WATT EMERGENCY GENERATOR THAT COSTS US ABOUT $3 MILLION. AND THE NICE PART ABOUT THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR IS THAT WE CAN MOVE THAT WHEN WE GO TO THE NEW NEW WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY. THAT WAS A LOT DIFFERENT THAN WHAT WE HAD A FEW WEEK AGO. ESSENTIALLY THE SYSTEM WAS JUST OVERWHELMED WITH RAIN. THAT'S REALLY WHAT IT CAME DOWN TO. ALL FOUR OF OUR PUMPS WERE WORKING FINE. WE WERE SENDING AS MUCH INTO THE DEEP INJECTION WELL AS WE POSSIBLY COULD. I THINK IT'S CRITICAL TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE WATER THAT NOT WITH INTO WAS FULLY TREATED. WE HAD TO DECHLORINATE. WE CHLORINATE THE WATER BEFORE IT GOES INTO THE DEEP INJECTION WELL. IF WE SEND IT TO THE RIVER WE DECHLORINATE IT SO IT REALLY IS FRESH WATER. THIS IS JUST THE CASE OF THE SYSTEM BEING OVERWHELMED. I THINK ANOTHER THING THAT'S IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT THERE'S FACILITIES UP AND DOWN THE COAST OF FLORIDA THAT DON'T HAVE DEEP INJECTION WELLS. THOSE CASES THE E FLRX FLRX LUEET JUST GOES INTO THE RIVER -- ONE EXAMPLE IS THE CITY OF MIAMI. THEY'RE IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING IN DEEP INJECTION WELLS BUT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY YET. SO ALL THE TREATED EFLUENT IS GOING INTO BISCAYNE BAY. BUT IT'S CLEAN.
