>> ALL RIGHT. SO THIS AFTERNOON WE WOULD LIKE TO PRESENT TO YOU THE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT.

THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FROM HUD FOR OUR CDDG FUNDING WHICH IS THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT.

WE DO THIS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT LISA AND I WILL BE REPORTING IT. SO FAR AFTER A MONTH WE HAVE LEARNED A LOT. [LAUGTER] UNFORTUNATELY ARE WE CAN'T COVER ALL OF THAT WITHIN OUR PRESENTATION BUT, AS YOU KNOW IT COMES FROM THE FIVE YEAR PLAN FROM THE 2016-2020 PLAN CONSOLIDATED PLAN I SHOULD SAY FOR THE PROGRAM YEAR OCTOBER 1ST-2019 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30TH 2020. FINALLY THE CAPPER PROVIDES DATA ON NUMBER AND TYPE OF -- CAPER, THE DOLLARS EXTENDED NATIONALLY 2020 HAD UNIQUE CHALLENGES AS WE ALL KNOW WE RECEIVED ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM THE CARES ACT.

SO I'LL BE TOUCHING ON THAT A LITTLE BRIEFLY.

BUT CURRENTLY BECAUSE THE OFFICE IS STILL IN TRANSITION THAT INFORMATION WE'RE STILL COLLECTING FROM ALL OUR SOURCES ACROSS THE COUNTY.

SO THE PRIORITY NEEDS WERE SERVED OR ECONOMIC WHICH ARE TOTAL OF NINE WERE SERVED FOR THREE PROJECTS.

HOWEVER, WE DID THROUGH CARES FUNDING SERVE A LOT MORE WITH HELPING SMALL BUSINESSES AND DOING FACADE GRANTS. THIS DID PROVE TO BE A CHALLENGE FOR PREVIOUS STAFF BUT WE WERE ABLE TO ASSIST ABOUT 43 SMALL BUSINESSES WITH THE CARES FUNDING.

PUBLIC SERVICES WAS ABOUT 4,967 PEOPLE SERVED, THIS WAS DONE THROUGH PUBLIC SERVICE AGENCY GRANTS AS WELL AS SMALL NONPROFIT GRANTS AND OTHER TYPE OF PUBLIC SERVICE I'M SORRY, PUBLIC SERVICE GRANTS.

AGAIN, WITH THE PUBLIC FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE ABOUT 60,000 PEOPLE WERE SERVED.

THIS HAD TO DO WITH REDOING THE REC CENTER AND THE OWNER OCCUPIED HOUSING RE-- REHAB WHICH WAS A BIG CHALLENGE WHICH WAS ONLY ABOUT SEVEN PEOPLE SERVED BUT THAT WAS SO WE DIDN'T GO INTO PEOPLE'S HOMES AND MAKING SURE IT WAS SAFE AND -- BUT THAT WAS WAS THROUGH WORLD CHANGERS PAINT OUR TOWN AND HAVING PEOPLE BE ABLE TO HAVE OUTSIDE OF THEIR HOMES REFURBISHED WHETHER IT'S THE DOORS PAINTING ANYTHING EVEN INCLUDING ROOFS, IF POSSIBLE. UNFORTUNATELY, NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION HAD TO TAKE A HALT AND WE'RE STILL WORKING ON THOSE PROGRAMS BECAUSE WE'RE KIND OF STILL CATCHING UP FROM 2020 AND THE DEVASTATING IMPACT IT HAD ON THE COMMUNITY. SO TOTAL WE SPENT $1,-- FROM THE CARES ACT WE EXPENDED $241,278 OF THE CARES FUNDING. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AS I SAID 43 BUSINESSES WERE SERVED AND FIVE FOR THE FACADE TREATMENT GRANT. THIS WAS ALSO UTILIZED FOR SMALL BUSINESSES WHICH WE THOSE WHO WERE ORDERED TO CLOSE WERE IMPACTED BECAUSE WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH CUSTOMERS OR BUSINESS COMING IN.

FOR HOUSING REHAB SEVEN PEOPLE AS YOU SEE IN THAT PICTURE WE WERE ABLE TO AT LEAST HAVE SOME PEOPLE TAKE PICTURES AT LEAST HAVE SOME CONTACT WITH PEOPLE SO I KNOW SOME OF OUR STAFF WAS REALLY REALLY HAD AN ENJOYABLE MOMENT OF FINALLY GETTING OUT THERE AND TAKING PICTURES AND FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH SOME OF THE PROJECTS. FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE GRANTS, AS I SAID 4,967 LOW INCOME PEOPLE IN YOUTH PARTICULARLY THIS HAD TO DO BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS UNITED AGAINST POVERTY, SALVATION ARMY, THOSE THAT WERE DIRECTLY HELPING THOSE IN SEVERELY LOW INCOME AREAS THAT WERE IMPACTED WHETHER WE LOST JOBS HELPING WITH FOOD BANKS AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

OUR PUBLIC FACILITIES GRANT AS I SAID THERE WAS ABOUT 6,000 PEOPLE THAT WERE HELPED.

FOR MY UNDERSTANDING THIS HAD TO DO WITH THE REC CENTER AND RENOVATION. SOME OF OUR OTHER PROGRAMS THAT WE WOULD NORMALLY HAVE LIKE THE JOB FAIR, HIGHWAYMEN FESTIVAL AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE HAD TO BE PUT ON HOLD DURING THAT YEAR.

BUT WE ARE IN THE WORKS OF PUTTING ALL THAT BACK ON SO THAT WAY WE CAN BE A LIVELY COMMUNITY AGAIN.

AND THE CARES FUNDING CAME IN HANDY.

IN HAVING A LOT OF POP-UP TESTING SITES.

A LOT OF AREAS WHERE PEOPLE CAN GO GET TESTING OR HELP OUT AND VOLUNTEER OR EVEN GET A VACCINE.

WE WORKED A LOT WITH NONPROFITS DURING THAT TIME AS WELL TO CO-ORDINATE THAT EFFORT.

SO FAR, AS I SAID THIS IS SHORT PRESENTATION BECAUSE WE'RE KIND OF STILL LEARNING ABOUT A LOT OF THIS.
