HOW DID BLACK HISTORY MONTH GET STARTED AND WHY? YOU MAY THINK, IT'S AN EASY QUESTION TO GET AN ANSWER TO.

I FOUND AN ARTICLE BY MARVIN DUNNBURY HE'S THE HISTORIAN PRESIDENT OF ASSOCIATION OF STUDYING AFRICAN-AMERICAN HISTORY. THERE'S AN ASSOCIATION FOR EVERYTHING AMERICA. HE'S IN PART OF WHAT HE DID.

HE SAID, CARTER DREAMS WOODSON WAS THE FATHER OF BLACK HISTORY WHO FIRST SET OUT IN 1826 AND TRIED TO KEEP IN MIND THE DATES AS I GO THROUGH SOME OF THIS. I HATE DATES AND HISTORY.

YOU AND I HAVE THE CONVERSATION. I WILL SAY SOME THINGS THAT MAY UPSET SOME PEOPLE. IN 1926, HE DESIGNATED A TIME, TO PROMOTE, EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT BLACK HISTORY AND CULTURE, WHICH MR. WOODSON ENVISIONED A WEEK LONG CELEBRATION TO ENCOURAGE AND COORDINATE TEACHING OF BLACK HISTORY IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

HE DESIGNATED THE SECOND WEEK OF FEBRUARY AS THE GAL HISTORY WEEK. AND THE HISTORIANS THROUGH THE ASSOCIATION AND STUDY OF NEGRO LIFE AND HISTORY.

WHICH HE FOUNDED IN 1915, THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF NEGRO LIFE, BECAME THE ASSOCIATION AND STUDY OF AFRICAN-AMERICAN LIFE AND HISTORY.

THE FOCUS BROAD AND BROADENED THE NATIONAL CONSEQUENCES AND CORRECT TEACHING OF BLACK HISTORY IN AMERICAN EDUCATION SYSTEM. THE IDEA EVENTUALLY GREW IN ACCEPTANCE AND BY THE LATE 1960'S, NEGRO HISTORY WEEK HAS INVOLVED ON WHAT IS NOW KNOWN AS BLACK HISTORY MONTH.

PROTEST AROUND RACIAL INJUSTICE AND EQUITY IMPERRIALISM THAT WAS OCCURRING IN MANY PARTS OF THE UNITED STATES, PIVOTED TO THE CHANGE I HAD TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT THAT AND THINK IN THE 1960'S, I WAS ROLLING IN MY TEEN YEARS BY THEN, GETTING READY TO DO SOME THINGS IN MY LIFE.

IT WAS REALLY PUT BACK ON US THE COUNTY AT THIS TIME DOESN'T WANT TO PRODUCE THAT. WE HAVE HIRED DR. DEHANNY, TO COME UP WITH A BETTER APPROACH TO ANNEXATION.

IT'S A VERY TIME PROCESS AND REALLY PIECEMEAL.
