FPLA BOARD SIGNED A DOWNTOWN SMART CITY INITIATIVE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF FT. PIERCE. ON MAY 18TH 2021 WE ENTERED INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE VENDOR. TO INSTALL FOUR SMART KEOSK IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA. THOSE DEOF COURSE LOCATIONS WERE THE CORNER OF AVENUE ORANGE AVENUE AND SECOND STRAIGHT. AVENUE A AND INDIAN RIVER DRIVE, MARINA SQUARE AND AS WELL THE MANATEE CENTER. SINCE THIS TIME, STAFF HAS WORKED WITH THE CITY OF FT. PIERCE IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY TO DEVELOP CONTENT AND DEAPPLIMENT OF THE SMART KEOSK IN THIS DOWNTOWN AREA. UNFORTUNATELY THE CURRENT VENDOR WAS NOT ABLE TO MOOT THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT FOR THIS REASON WE'VE BEEN EVALUATING ALTERNATIVE VENDORS TO ENSURE THAT FPLA NET DELIVERS THE BEST SOLUTION FOR THE AREA. ONCE STAFF COMPLETES THE VALUATIONS, I WILL BE BRINGING BACK EITHER AMENDED CONTRACT OR A NEW CONTRACT WITH A DIFFERENT VENDOR BACK TO THE FPUA BOARD. WITH THAT BEING SAID. PIERCE WHERE THE FPRA TO AMEND THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT AS WELL. YOU KNOW WE'RE WORKING VERY CLOSE WITH CHARLOTTE FROM THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY. BECAUSE WE'RE LOOKING AT THIS AS THE WIDER DEPLOYMENT. THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE ST. LUCIE COUNTY. I THINK THAT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT PROJECT.
