WE WILL START WITH THE HUWE1 AWARENESS MONTH. I BELIEVE WE HAVE SOMEBODY HERE TO RECEIVE THAT IF THEY WANT TO COME FORWARD. WHERE AS HUWE1 IS A GENE LOCATED ON THE X-CHROMOSOME, IT HOLDS THE CHEMICAL INSTRUCTIONS DNA TO CREATE A PROTEIN CALLED E3. IT IS PRESENT IN ALL CELLS IN THE HUMAN BODY, MEANING ANY VARIATIONS OR MUTATIONS IN THE HUWE1 GENE CAN HAVE SIGNIFICANT EFFECTS THROUGHOUT THE BODY.

AND WHEREAS UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE OF THE HUWE1 GENE IS STILL DEVELOPING, RESEARCH INDICATES IT CONTROLS NEUROTRANSMITTERS IN THE FORMATION OF NEURONS IN THE DEVELOPING BRAIN. IT HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY AS WELL AS A RANGE OF OTHER CONDITIONS. AND WHEREAS THE PLAN IS TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT HUWE1 THROUGH PERSONAL STORIES, I.E. THROUGH RIVERS STORY. RIVER IS A JOYFUL BOY BORN IN 2019 IN STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA. THE ONLY CONCERN AT THE TIME WAS HIS FAILING HEARING TEST. AT AROUND THREE MONTHS OLD, HE WAS ADMITTED FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND FEEDING DIFFICULTIES. WHILE THERE, HE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FAILURE TO THRIVE, HEARING LOSS, AND GLOBAL DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS. IN MAY OF 2020, GENETIC TEST RESULTS REVEALED THAT RIVER HAS THE HUWE1 GENE MUTATION . HE WAS A CO-KILLER IMPLANT WHICH HE RECEIVED IN 2021. HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON WALKING AND HOLDING A CUP INDEPENDENTLY. WHEREAS AS PART OF THE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN, RIVERS FAMILY ORGANIZED A WALK/RUN IN 2023. IT BEGAN AND ENDED IN THE HEART OF FT.

PIERCE, FLORIDA, AND INCORPORATED THE PETER C COBB MEMORIAL BRIDGE. WHEREAS THE CITY PROMOTES AND SUPPORTS NONPROFIT EFFORTS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS OF OUR CITIZENS AND ENCOURAGES ITS RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES TO CONTINUE THE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR THE HUWE1 . THEREFORE, THE MAYOR OF CITY OF FORT PIERCE AND I HEREBY CLAIM THAT MARCH 1ST SHOULD BEGIN HUWE1 AWARENESS MONTH. I CAN TELL YOU THIS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN MORE GENIUS CHILDREN COMING OUT BASICALLY ANYWHERE IN MY LIFE. SOME OF THESE MATH PROBLEMS, I DON'T THINK ANYONE HERE CAN DO IN A COUPLE HOURS.

THESE ONES CAN DO IT IN A COUPLE SECONDS.
