THE NEXT ITEM IS A RESOLUTION RELATED TO CLEANING UP SOME BOARD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES THAT WERE ADOPTED BY THE BOARD IN 2021. YOU MAY RECALL AT THE END OF LAST YEAR, WE ADOPTED A BOARD PROCEDURE IN ITS OWN SEPARATE RESOLUTION. THEY WERE UPDATED AND AMENDED IN SOME PARTS. WHAT THIS RESOLUTION DOES, IT CLEANS UP THE 2021 POLICIES TO REMOVE REFERENCE SO THAT THERE IS NOT OVERLAPPING OR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS.

I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD GO IN NOW, I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH I AM GETTING. I FEEL LIKE THERE IS A PIECE OF COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS FOR BOARD MEMBERS IN THIS THAT MAYBE WE NEED TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF A DISCUSSION ABOUT. THE AMOUNT IS VERY LOW. HOWEVER, I DON'T KNOW THAT EVERYBODY CAN DO THIS WITH THEIR FREE TIME AND NOT BE ABLE TO BE COMPENSATED A LITTLE BIT MORE FOR IT. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH YOU GUYS ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT.

I WILL TAKE THREE OR FOUR MONTHS AFTER WE GET IT APPROVED. THAT IS HOW WE CAN LOOK AT THAT NUMBER WITHIN THE INDUSTRY OF FLORIDA. I AM WELL AWARE THAT THE NUMBER IS A CONCERN THAT WE SHOULD EXPLORE.

WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT WE INCLUDE ANY COMPENSATION STUDY SO THAT IF IT COMES BACK COMPARED TO OTHER UTILITY BOARDS AND SUCH. OR THE ADJUSTMENT COULD BE WHATEVER THE BOARD DECIDES TO DO TODAY. JUST ANOTHER AVENUE FOR US TO

BE ABLE TO EVALUATE THAT. >> I THINK LOOKING AT THE EVALUATION IN THE STUDY WOULD BE THE FIRST STEP.

IT IS A VERY PECULIAR POSITION TO BE PUT IN, TO VOTE ON YOUR OWN SALARY. LIKE MS. GIVENS SAID, I DO NOT HAVE A DESIRE TO RAISE IT FOR MYSELF, WHEN WE MAKE DECISIONS APPEAR, I AM THINKING OF A FIVE, 10, 30 YEAR TIME FRAME.

WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE A HIGH-PERFORMING BOARD RIGHT NOW. TO CONTINUE TO HAVE THAT AND TO HAVE THE BEST CHANCE POSSIBLE, I DO BELIEVE THAT SOME CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE TO THE COMPENSATION THAT SOMEONE WOULD GET BEING ON THIS BOARD.

HE NEEDS TO FIT INTO THE FINANCIAL PLAN THAT LEADERSHIP COMES UP WITH AND ALL OF THAT GOOD STUFF. I AM NOT CONCERNED BUT I AM INTERESTED IN WHAT WE CAN DO TO MAKE THIS A MORE

DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR YOUR TIME. STILL, EVEN THE CITY COMMISSION LOOKING COMPARATIVELY, IS LOW.

AS THE MOTORCADE COMES IN WITH THE PRESIDENT, THE AREAS AROUND US ARE RESTRICTED. WE ARE WORKING ON A PLAN SO THAT THOSE WHO CAN WORK AT THE ENERGY SERVICES CENTER, THOSE EMPLOYEES CAN WORK REMOTELY AT THAT SITE OR EVEN REMOTELY FROM HOME IF NEED BE DUE TO SPACE LIMITATIONS. WE WILL KEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS IN THE LOBBY THERE TO SERVICE CUSTOMERS AND WE ARE RECONFIGURING THE DRIVE-THROUGH SO IT DOES NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE CROWD.
