MAY 2024, I RECEIVED A LETTER STATING THAT THERE WAS A LIEN FOR $18,500. IT WAS NOT ABOUT THE SIGNING, BUT THE WINDOWS. A REMINDER THAT I DID HAVE PERMIT FOR WINDOWS AND DOORS. PASSING INSPECTION AND CLOSING THE PERMIT DECKING 2023. SHE SAID THAT IT WAS BECAUSE IT TOOK TOO LONG. THE REASON WHY THERE IS THE OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT ON MY HOUSE, IS BECAUSE I TOOK TOO LONG TO REPLY TO THE LETTER. I DIDN'T RECEIVE THE VIOLATION THAT NEVER HAPPENED. SHE INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS NOT REQUIRED SENDING LETTERS. THIS TYPE OF LETTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS IT IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS TO THE CURRENT OFFICIALS AND THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE. AS A PROMOTER OF FORT PIERCE, I FIND THIS INFORMATION AND SITUATION DISTURBING AND UNJUST. I REQUEST THAT WE MOVE FORWARD WITHOUT ANY PENALTIES OR FINES, AS THE ISSUE FOR SOMETHING THAT NEVER HAPPENED. IN LEGAL TERM, I BELIEVE IT IS FOR -- STAFF HAS CAPTIVATED THE MINISTRY OF COST IN THIS CASE TO BE $1352.35. DUE TO THE SUB MISCOMMUNICATION, STAFF IS SOMEWHAT AGREEABLE TO REDUCING IT, MAKING A RECOMMENDATION TO REDUCE IT. THIS IS FURTHER FROM THE ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS. BY REMOVING THE NUMBER OF FOLLOW-UP INSPECTIONS. REDUCING THEM FROM 11 INSPECTIONS TO ONE INSPECTION. THAT WOULD FURTHER REDUCE THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ADMINISTRATIVE FEES BY $500.
