APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER NUMBER 12 FOR GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICES, JOURNEY CNN D GROUP INC. IN AN AMOUNT OT TO EXCEED 45,650 $4000.20 FOR THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE FLORIDA HIGHWAYMEN MUSES MIX RENOVATION PROJECT TO CORRECT THE PARKING LOT ELEVATION TO PREVENT WATER INTRUSION.

>> WE HAD DISCUSSED THIS MATTER A COUPLE MEETINGS AGO RELATIVE TO A LARGER CHANGE ORDER THAT WAS A COMPILATION OF SMALLER CHANGE ORDERS COMBINED INTO ONE FUNDING MECHANISM. I WOULD LIKE TO GET UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRACT AND WHAT THEY CONTEMPLATE DOING AS ADDITIONAL, $45,600 TO MITIGATE THE FLOOD ISSUE. THERE NEEDS TO BE AN EXPLANATION TO WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WHAT OUR MONEY IS GOING TO.

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO CATCH ALL OVERFLOW WATER FROM GOING WITHIN THE BUILDING. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE WE SAW WATER DAMAGE ALONG THE CORNERS OF THE WALLS OF THE BUILDING. AND SO, WHAT WE ARE PROPOSING IS TO LOWER , SO, BASICALLY, WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO, WE GET A PULLBACK 5 TO NUMB SIX INCHES, THE ENGINEER WILL, MAKE THAT FINAL DETERMINATION OF HOW MUCH WE ARE GOING TO TAKE OFF AND WE WILL BRING THE ELEVATION DOWN TO BE ABLE TO ENSURE THAT THE WATER ISN'T RUNNING OFF TOWARDS THE BUILDING. RIGHT NOW, THAT IS HOW IT IS PITCHED. SO WE WILL PULLBACK THE ENTIRE PARKING LOT, SKIM IT DOWN 5, NUMB SIX INCHES AND BUILD IT BACK TO BE AT GRADE AND PITCH IT TOWARD THE OTHER DRAIN AT THE CENTER OF THE

THERE IS AN AREA OF MISSING BRICKS , I COULD PROBABLY SHOW YOU SOME PICTURES OF, AND HOW TO GET A GOOD MATCH SO THE BUILDING REPAIRS WOULD NOT STAND OUT AND WOULD BLEND INTO THE ENTIRE BUILDING. I THINK THAT JIM'S CREW DID A REALLY GREAT JOB . THEY WERE THINKING EVEN AHEAD OF ME AS TO WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH SOME OF THESE ISSUES.
