IN ADDITION VOLUNTEERS HELP 303 PEOPLE AFFECTED BY 100 HOMEBUYERS IN THE CHAPTER JURISDICTION BY ADDRESSING THE URGENT NEEDS LIKE FOOD, LODGING AND RECOVERY SUPPORT. AND WHEREAS, MEANWHILE THE RED CROSS CONTINUES TO WORK WITH ITS PARTNERS TO PREVENT NATIONAL -- BUYER TRAGEDIES WHICH INSTALLED 2 MILLION FREE SMOKE ALARMS LAST YEAR HAVE SAVED HUNDREDS OF LIVES OF COMPANIES -- PEOPLE. THE COAST OF HARBIN CHAPTER LOCAL PARTNERS HAVE INSTALLED MORE THAN 1003 SMOKE ALARMS AND MADE MORE THAN 545 HOUSEHOLD SAFER FROM THE THREAT OF HOMEBUYERS. AND WHEREAS, IN THIS CHAPTER THE RED CROSS PROVIDED MORE THAN 650 SERVICES TO OUR MILITARY AND TAUGHT MORE THAN 370 -- LIFESAVING SKILLS SUCH AS FIRST AID, CPR AND SWIMMING. LUCIE COUNTY 243 DIFFERENT CASES, 32 DIFFERENT INCIDENTS, WHICH MEANS HOMEBUYERS, LOCAL DISASTERS AND WE HAVE HELPED OVER 118 CLIENTS. THIS WILL COME IN -- THE UTILITIES AUTHORITY WILL BE DOING UTILITIES UPGRADES AND THEN WE WILL UTILIZE SOME OF THIS MONEY FROM THE SURTAX TO GO IN FOR PAVING AND CURB AND GUTTER AND SIDEWALK ON TOP OF THAT. ANOTHER BIG PROJECT WE HAVE COMING UP IS THE CITRUS AVENUE OVERPASS. THAT'S MAINTENANCE, A LOT OF MAINTENANCE WITH -- IT WAS PUT OFF FOR A WHILE THIS WAS A PROJECT THAT WAS PART OF THE LIST THE CITY PRESENTED IN THE VERY BEGINNING. THIS WAS A PROJECT THAT WE WOULD UTILIZE THE SURTAX FOR. SO WE HAVE PLANS COMPLETED. WE SHOULD -- EVERYTHING IS IN THE PURCHASING. WE ANTICIPATE THAT THAT WILL BE ADVERTISED THE SECOND WEEK OF MARCH, THIS YEAR. WE ARE ANTICIPATING THAT WORK. AND THE OTHER PROJECT WE ARE LOOKING AT IS -- IS RESURFACING PROJECTS. LUCIE AND STATE ROAD 70. ALL THOSE WE LOOK AT DOING IMPROVEMENTS TO HANDLE THE TRAFFIC. AND ALSO WE LOOK AT THE -- SEVERAL NEW LOCATIONS PER WE HAD FIVE THAT WE STARTED WITH WE KIND OF WHITTLE IT DOWN TO THESE THREE. IN FACT, THE I-95 CONNECTION IS DOWN IN MARTIN COUNTY WERE HAVING TO DO A SEPARATE STUDY DUE TO INVOLVEMENT WITH LOCAL DOT DISTRICT AND FEDERAL HIGHWAY AND THERE'S A CONNECTION WITH I-95. WE ARE ADDING THOSE LANES ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE EXISTING MAINS BECAUSE OF THAT FLORIDA GAS TRANSMISSION. WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT THESE PICTURES, YOU SEE THE PURPLE SWASH THROUGH THEIR HEADS AIR THAT WE HAVE TO WORK WITH FLORIDA GAS. THAT'S CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT THE EXHIBITS. PORT ST. LUCIE SERVICE PLAZA IS AND ALSO THE CITY IS A POTENTIAL ADVENTURE PARK IN THAT QUADRANT. WE WILL BE WORKING WITH THEM. ONE THAT IS GETTING CLOSER TO YEARS MIDWAY ROAD. AND REALLY WHERE WE SEE A LOT OF TRAFFIC HERE IS SWITCHING BETWEEN I-95, OVER THE TURNPIKE AND VICE VERSA. AND A LOT OF THAT TRAFFIC IS TRUCK TRAFFIC.
